GIFT GIVING MADE EASY
This unglazed Tokoname kyusu has a round, gently ribbed body decorated with small stamped circles. A fine, domed mesh strainer sits inside over the spout to catch the leaves as you pour. The side handle makes it easy to hold and pour with one hand, and at about 220 ml it's a comfortable size for one or two people.
Tokoname, in Aichi Prefecture, is one of Japan's oldest pottery towns and is especially known for its kyusu.
Before first use, soak in warm water (60-80°C) for 30-60 minutes. Rinse with hot water after brewing and dry completely with the lid off. No soap or detergent, which the clay absorbs.
Capacity: about 220 ml
Made in Japan.
Please note: Each teapot is unique. The piece you receive will vary from what is shown in the photographs.
